Synopsis

Jing Qiu, a young woman from a politically stigmatized family, is sent to the countryside, where she falls for Lao San, a talented local man. As their bond deepens, social class differences and family pressures threaten to tear them apart, putting their quiet love and a promise to see the hawthorn tree bloom at risk.
